Nineteenth-Century Ural Literary Life Museum
The 19th-century home of the first wife of Dmitry Mamin-Sibiryak was located
on a very old estate. This was the house in which this famous writer from the Urals
composed his novel The Privalov Fortune. The home still exudes an atmosphere
of warmth and welcome in its living room, dining room, and parlor. Permanent
exhibits can be found in these rooms that offer historical details about the life
of the writer and his first wife, in addition to other, rotating exhibits on contemporary literary themes.
