The Water Tower in Plotinka (the Dam) was built to service car maintenance for the Perm railway workshops. After this, the tower was a communal apartment, a souvenir shop, a photographic studio, and, finally, became a branch of the Ekaterinburg History Museum. The historical interior from the end of the 19th century was restored in the tower.
A guest centre is in operation on the first floor for tourists and city residents.
You can buy a Guest Map, get a consultation on the museums and attractions
of the city, but authentic souvenirs, and even drink a cup of coffee.
Presented on the second floor is a museum exposition on the history of the tower itself and the historic square will open by 11 August 2018.
